Nutrition
To comply with the Child Care Food Program regulations,
the Infant Meal Pattern lists the amount of food to be offered to children.

Breast milk, iron-fortified infant formula or a portion of both
must be served for the entire first year.

Food within the meal pattern should be of the texture and consistency
appropriate for the age of the child and may be served during a span
of time consistent with the child's eating habits.

Children age one or older must be served the total minimum amount
of food authorized per meal as stated in the meal pattern.
