Informal Care
Unregulated Relative or In-Home Non-Relative Care


An Unregulated Provider:

  • A responsible non-parent relative age 18 or older, who cares for a child or children in the relative's home or the child(ren)'s home and is not licensed for child care in Pinellas County.

  • A non-relative (not related by blood, marriage or adoption) aged 18 or older, who cares for the child(ren) in the child(ren)'s own home.

Who Has To Participate In 3-Hour Training?

  • All Unregulated Relative or In-Home Non-Relative Child Care Providers are required to attend a 3 hour training prior to 1st day of scholarship child care.

  • Not attending the 3-hour training will prevent you from being paid for your child care services.

What Holidays Can An Unregulated Child Care Home Claim and Get PAID For?

  • New Year's Day
  • Martin Luther King Day
  • Good Friday
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Veteran's Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Friday after Thanksgiving Day
  • Two CCC days at Christmas

Things to Remember:

  • Holidays are subject to change with written notification
  • Child Care Providers must be available for care the day before a holiday in order to be paid for the holiday (unless the day before is a weekend day).
  • Exempt Centers must complete a Holiday Schedule.


How Much Will You Be Paid?

Coordinated Child Care will pay up to 50% of the State Maximum Rate, minus the parent fees, for child care. It is your responsibility to collect the remaining dollars from the parent.

You must become a licensed caregiver to qualify to receive up to 100% of the State Maximum Rate, minus the parent fees. Contact "Caring For Kids" at 547-5744 or 547-5742 to receive information on this process. There may be funding available to assist you if interested.

What Forms Need To Be Completed and Returned In Order To Start Payment For Your Services?

  1. IRS W-9 Form
  2. Abuse Background Check -You MUST complete Section II in its entirety before submitting to CCC or your PAYMENT will be delayed
  3. Provider Affidavit
  4. Payment Information
  5. Relative/Non-Relative Affidavit
  6. Enrollment / Attendance Verification (Roster)
  7. Request for Justification of Excessive Absences (if needed)
  8. Non-subcontracted Provider Agreement
  9. Authorization Agreement for Automatic Direct Deposit - must include a VOIDED check or savings deposit slip
