Contracting with Coordinated Child Care
Benefits

All contracted sites are assessed by CCC to ensure that they have a developmentally appropriate program that is provided for each child in care.

CCC provides an extensive training program for the child care providers. Technical assistance and consultation is also provided to the child care staff to help them enhance their skills and techniques in working with young children.

  • Free training opportunities for professional growth

  • Access educational material for professional development through the CCC Resource Lending Library

  • Free technical assistance and consultation from early childhood professionals

  • Opportunities to participate in the Parent Involvement Program

  • Ability to earn a referral fee through the Provider Recruitment Incentive Program

  • Assistance with liability and accident insurance coverage for all children enrolled in your home

  • Provider Early Payment Program (PEPP) – Requires maintaining an enrollment of at least two (2) CCC subsidized children during the entire month for which an early check is requested

  • Technical assistance in preparing for national accreditation

  • Recognition in the community as being under quality assurance

  • Ability to serve children through all funding programs


Requirements

  • Licensure by the Pinellas County License Board

  • Participation in the USDA Food Program

  • Willingness to obtain 20 hours of training per contract year

  • Agree to attend specialized training on brain development, shaken baby syndrome, and sudden infant death syndrome

  • Receptive to quality assessment and observation of your program a minimum of twice per contract year

  • Provide an environment that is safe, nurturing and loving

  • Directly supervise children at all times

  • Post an appropriate daily schedule that will include quiet time, active time, indoor and outdoor play, play experiences for gross (large) motor skills and for fine (small) motor skills

  • Allow children to experience school readiness activities on a daily basis which include but are not limited to playing with blocks; working puzzles and shape sorters; stringing beads; playing with play dough; art activities; water and sand play; listening and moving to music; dramatic/pretend play; discovery and sensory play experiences

  • Read to the children and facilitate reading readiness activities for the children throughout the day

  • Set up the environment to allow the children to have choices of age appropriate play experiences that will help them develop the readiness skills needed to be successful


All sites have the opportunity to participate in the USDA Food Program to insure that children receive nutritious meals and snacks

Family Child Care Home (FCCH) providers that subcontract with Coordinated Child Care of Pinellas County serve newborns through school age children. There are approximately 155 subcontracted FCCH providers in Pinellas County.

There are approximately 100 Preschool Centers in Pinellas County that subcontract with Coordinated Child Care. The Preschool Centers are licensed for specific ages of children ranging from infants through school-age.

There are approximately 104 School Age Programs in Pinellas County that subcontract with CCC for before and after school care and full day care for summer, Christmas break and Spring break. Many of these sites are located at the elementary schools through out Pinellas County. Some of the programs are run by the various city recreation departments through out the county and some are private centers.


The programs are licensed by the Pinellas County License Board for Children's Centers and Family Day Care Homes.
