Recruitment and Support
Caring for Kids

The Caring for Kids program assists people with starting their own family child care home. This is accomplished through the distribution of start up packets and
pre-licensing visits to assist prospective providers in meeting the standards set by the Pinellas County License Board.

In addition, we provide mini grants to aid new providers with start up costs.

Our mini grants also help enhance existing child care programs including relative, licensed and subcontracted homes and centers throughout Pinellas County and encourage retention.

We also provide information and tracking for relative care providers.
