HOW TO APPLY

The “Unified Wait List Application” system allows people to apply for the following programs, all at one time, on one form. These programs include:

  • Pre-Kindergarten Early Intervention (Pre KEI)

  • Early Steps Programs

  • Scholarship Child Care (CCC)

  • Head Start Programs

  • Florida Diagnostic and Learning Resources System (FDLRS)

HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS

  • Purpose: To help Pinellas County residents who need financial assistance with child care in order to work or attend school.

  • Form: Unified Wait List Application must be filled out completely. Failure to fill out the form completely may result in a placement delay. You may fill out the form online

  • List: After you have filled out the form, you will be put on the wait list in chronological order according to the date received by CCC. Your name will remain on the waiting list for (6) months from the date we receive your application.

  • Placement: When funds become available you will be notified of a placement appointment, and we may require additional information at that time. If you are offered funding and refuse, your name will be removed from the waiting list.

  • Changes: You must call us to update your information as changes occur. If you move, change jobs, enroll in school or want to add another child please call us within 10 days of learning of this change.

  • Children under protective investigation or services can access child care through their case manager.

  • Right to Appeal: You have the right to appeal any decision. Please call 547-5700 and speak to a Family Services Supervisor.
